Tutte le case discografiche hanno sottomesso le canzoni e album dei loro artisti per la cinquantunesima edizione dei Grammy Awards, che si terranno l’8 Febbraio 2009 allo Staples Center di Los Angeles.
Le nomination verranno annunciate il 3 Dicembre. Ci sarà anche per la prima volta uno show in diretta televisiva denominato The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! – Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night, presso il Nokia Theater di Los Angeles, che vedrà l’annuncio delle nomination di almeno sei categorie e performance live di vincitori delle edizioni passate.
